There is sooo much to do and go to and get done in December. We had a little, long weekend, family vacation planned 2nd weekend in December, "what was I thinking?". We didn't have time to go away for 3 1/2 days!! But despite ALL the things to do to prepare for Christmas, "family time" is important too. When we are home we are always so busy "doing" everything that sometimes that family time gets put on the back burner. So off we went headed to LongBeach, WA. and boy am I glad we did! It was some super fun, much needed family bonding time! <3

Then Dick and the little boys! |
A huge highlight of the weekend was swimming in the outdoor (did you notice I said OUTDOOR?) pool, in the freezing cold weather! (The water was very heated.) We even had Grandma and Aunt Carrie and Hubby playing monkey in the middle in the pool (with the kids and I), such fun memories.
Then there was the crazy ladies in the hot tub when Carrie and I were in there. We were almost in the middle of a crazy cat fight! Hahaha!!!
And lots of games, Farkle (Laurell was the winner, almost every time!!!), and Chicken Foot Dominos...
Dick and the kids and I had a really nice visit with Dicks' Aunt and Uncle, Nancy & Denny, who live out there.
And we took walks on the boardwalk and the beach and did some shopping at a quilt shop and the Dennis Company. And the delicious bakery was a huge hit with all!
And of 'course lots of yummy food! Spaghetti, Meatballs, Cookies, Coffee, etc... Mmmmm!!
